Applewood Manor

Communication with Smoky Mtn Cabins of TN was timely. The cabin location was great, just a few minutes from all the areas we wanted to visit in Pigeon Forge. 20 minutes to Gatlinburg. The cabin was the right size for 8 people and was nice that each bedroom had it's own bathroom. Living area was nice, but the pool in the basement was a hit for the grand kids and the rocking chairs were nice on the decks. The house was clean and ready for our stay. Driveway was a climb. Location, size, and everything we needed in the kitchen was available. Made for a nice week with family.

Great place & very close to Dollywood. Secluded, quiet street. Great layout, comfortable, & great pool/hot tub space. Would book again. Only thing we would have appreciated would have been more starting amenities. One dishwasher packet, one roll of toilet paper per bathroom, no hand soap in the bathrooms, & no salt/pepper. Not the end of the world, but for the price paid we kind of thought some of the above should have been provided. Just a suggestion. Otherwise it was great!

Our stay at Applewood Manor could not have been better. The location is truly unbeatable—right across from Dollywood and just minutes from everything Pigeon Forge has to offer. Despite its central location, the cabin felt wonderfully private with beautiful mountain views that made it feel like a true retreat. The cabin was clean, spacious, and well-equipped with everything our family needed. Our kids especially loved the private indoor pool and hot tub, which provided endless fun and relaxation. We also appreciated that the property was dog-friendly, allowing us to bring the whole family along. While the driveway was steep, we found the secondary entrance on the side road much easier to navigate. Overall, this cabin offered the perfect balance of convenience, comfort, and seclusion. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to families visiting the area.

This was an absolutely stunning and roomy cabin in a perfect location, so close to Dollywood that we were surprised we didn't hear activities at the park. My husband, son and his wife, 2 daughters and one of their friends and I absolutely DID NOT want to leave. The layout is perfect with a roomy kitchen and living space. The pool table and games were lots of fun and we totally enjoyed the indoor pool and hot tub. Each bedroom has a private bathroom which was extremely convenient as well as the extra bathroom close to the pool and hot tub. Our host was fabulous. We will absolutely recommend.

We had a group of friends stay at Applewood Manor and had an absolute blast! I stayed here previously and selected this cabin due to the previous experience. The cabin was just as amazing as my prior experience. Well cleaned, plenty of space and bathrooms and great amenities especially the basement pool and hot tub which was a huge hit with the kids. In fact, it was hard to get them to want to leave the cabin. Additionally, the cabin’s location is isolated while still being conveniently located to both Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. Also, the check in process was extremely seamless and they checked in to make sure everything was going okay during and at the end of the trip. I highly recommend this cabin to any family or group! I plan to be back!

My family and I just spent another week at ApplewoodManor ( we have stayed there a few times before) and as usual it was amazing. When we walk into the place- it feels like home. Applewood Manor is so warm and welcoming, as well as comfortable and very well equipped. There were 7 of us and the home fits us all perfectly. The inside pool and hot tub is one of our favorite parts of the home. Applewood is conveniently located to all the local attractions. Whenever in the Pigeon Forge or Gatlinburg area I would never stay anywhere else. Can not wait to go back in the future to our "home away from home". A beautiful vacation home.

Super spacious cabin that 12 adults stayed in for 6 days. We used all bedrooms and the pullout sofas and everyone was comfortable. Pool & Hot tub was great. Walking distance to Dollywood. Plenty of parking. Grill worked great. Use the side entrance if you have a lower car. Would stay again!

Staying at Applewood Manor was a Dream come true !! Our favorite part was the amazing enormous salt water pool, hot tub and incredible recreation area!! Wow!! That lower area with the warm heated pool, tv, hang out spot , hot tub, gorgeous wood deck, and padded floor so we didn’t slip was the answer to all our dreams. We all could be together and enjoy the time while everyone had many options to be entertained. There was no reason to leave the cabin because the pool area and family game area was so much fun. It was just what our family needed to be together and enjoy a special moment in time. The beds were super comfortable and everything was extraordinarily clean! Applewood cabin is the most magical fantastic place that made us feel right at home and even let us bring our puppy so our family vacation was complete !! The fireplace next to the big soaking tub in one of the downstairs bathrooms was so romantic. This cabin combines family getaway along with areas to have unique time alone for the grownups !! We ordered food delivery five times so we could all just stay in for a relaxing evening and it was easy because All the restaurants are so close. Dollywood is literally down the driveway and across the road!!!! Applewood Manor is the Number one cabin we have ever stayed in at the Smokies and we have been there 10 times!!! It has every utensil needed extra sheets and blankets, towels, soap,hand soap, dish detergent, washer and dryer, knives and all the kitchen requirements … we did not need to bring in anything but ourselves and be ready to have our minds blown in the pool area and relax in comfort!!!! Thank you for the most amazing time of our lives!!!! There is a very big steep hill driving up to it that my daughter enjoyed and said was like a roller coaster!!

Beautiful home with a great location in Pigeon Forge! The bedrooms are nice size, the bathrooms were great. Plenty of room for 6 adults and 2 kids. The pool and hot tub were a big hit! Loved the decks and being able to see the fireworks from Dollywood! Loved that we could all sit at the table for meals & games. Be sure to bring extra trash bags, dish washer soap and paper goods. As most Airbnbs, there was only an initial set up. With a lot of people you will need more!! Thankfully Food City is close!

Applewood Manor was perfect for our extended family. Our grandsons loved the indoor pool area and grounds around the cabin, they saw a rabbit, a turtle and a turkey with two babies. The family really enjoyed the pool, we did have a couple minor issues ( that had no effect on our stay)with a flickering light in the kitchen and a loose kitchen faucet, but called manager and they had a service man out in a couple hours. This property was great!! We loved the king size beds and bathroom in every room, large dining table for family dinners, and of course the pool and hot tub!! I had seen reviews about slippery floors in the pool area and these must've been changed. The flooring was a nice rubber type material that was not slippery and drained the water. We appreciated the bathroom and shower in the pool room. Be sure to pack extra toilet paper if you have a large group, and bring hand soap for the bathrooms. We could not find a broom/dustpan anywhere except for a tiny handheld set. With a big group and small kids it would've been nice to sweep up the kitchen floor after meals and not have to get on our hands and knees with a tiny hand broom. We had a lot of fun at this house!!

House is great. Location is great. Pool is second to none - great size, nice seating for onlookers, etc. Just an FYI to future renters, the photos give the appearance of a flat yard. It's anything but flat. The roads surrounding the property are all steep. We hauled some bikes for our young kids, but quickly realized they would die instantly if we let them ride them. Great trip!

The house was everything we had hoped it would be. Everything was clean, the communication with the host was great from the beginning. Our family age 13-70 were all happy and comfortable. We spent much time out hiking, but with one day of rain, the pool and hot tub and game room kept everyone busy and happy all day. This cabin is fantastic! We had such a great time there. The cabin is really close to town, just 5 or 10 minutes to the strip. The rooms are all spacious, beautifully decorated, comfortable. And the pool area was wonderful. Pool is heated to a very comfortable temperature. Just all around a great place to stay. We would certainly stay there again. The only thing, and this is on us and not the cabin, is that there are a lot of stairs. 🙂. Kind of hard on these old knees, but wouldn’t keep us from going again.

The Express Checkin process and all of the info received leading up to the trip was very smooth and line a well oiled machine. The hill on the property and steep driveway are no joke, but we were able to navigate without issue. The kitchen could have been a little cleaner and more counter space would have been nice for those doing a lot of cooking at the cabin, but the pros definitely outweighed the cons.

We desperately needed a vacation that was would allow us to stay away from others but still keep the children occupied. The pool was just the ticket! We loved the location. Super close to anything we needed yet it felt like we were way out away from everything. It was nice and quiet. The pool seemed to be nice and clean. And the fact that the door locks makes it a little less worrisome with a young kiddo.We had a few issues with getting into the pool area at first but after a quick call to the property manager and he got us all set up. Don't be afraid to call if you need anything! The cabins was plenty roomy. kiddo. Only downside really is the fact that you can hear everything(kids walking upstairs.)!a box fan could help with that. There are bath towels,but bring extra for the pool. Also,there was no dish soap but we had to go to the grocery store anyways and got some. All in all it was a very pleasant time. The adults and the children enjoyed themselves.

My family had a really great time at Applewood Manor. Staying in the off-season worked out well for traffic, and the properties location was great for getting in and out for food and for getting to the national park. The pool was warm and clean. That was a huge plus, especially with the kids. There were a few cleanliness issues, like food on pans that were put away, some trash from the previous renters, and some dust and grime in out of the way places like under the beds. Overall that aspect was fine. Shaun was super responsive to needs and fixed an issue we had with the pool cover within a few minutes of calling. I would recommend this place for a multigenerational get-together in the Smokies.

We didn’t want to go to a hotel to let the kids swim because of corona. This was an excellent alternative & one I would prefer even without covid. The cabin is large & everyone can spread out. The pool is amazing & love the Bluetooth speakers so the kids could listen to their music. No complaints.

We really enjoyed our stay. There were only a couple of things that need mentioning. One, the house had not been dusted in a while. There was a layer of dust on the mantle, and the ceiling fans were caked with dust. The beds were not very comfortable and squeaked loudly. Everyone could hear everyone moving around. The pool was too cold, but the cover was broken before we arrived and the part wasn't in yet. The floors in the whole house were quite slippery, especially by the pool area! The toaster was also broken but we did receive a new one. The inside of the lazy susan was not clean. Overall, the property was beautiful and the house itself was gorgeous. We would recommend this house to friends!

Rental property was as described. Would say it sits in a Very steep Hill! We Enjoyed the Indoor pool Tremendously. The floor was super slippery. Caution I would give more stars but Pillows and beds and linens could use some updates. And it wasn't super clean as far as Kitchen. May be due to last guests being responsible for cleanliness of and things such as silverware etc... Great location

We came here to celebrate our boy’s birthday’s (12 & 16, they are 4 years and 4 days apart) and we love to try something new. So instead of going to universal studios for birthdays, we choose to leave our state and branch out. This home was amazing! The pool and hot tub were a fantastic duo that I couldn’t do without. The beds were okay, most of them were to soft or too springy but the kids didn’t complain to much about them. The house is at the top of a hill, with a drive way that feels like a roller coaster 🎢 ramp.. fun to walk up and down after meals but steep to drive up. The kids loved it! We didn’t cook here so I don’t know what tools they would be missing. The kitchen only had a regular coffee maker and my bougie self only makes k-cups.. sad face The outside was nice, the grill and patio had lights and outlets. The driveway was the only thing to have lights in the neighborhood so it’s lit up, that’s a plus for us. The Dollywood theme park is close by too, and at night you can hear their train horns and see the fireworks from the living room. This place was close to EVERYTHING!! And we did almost everything. If you go to eat I would suggest you get an early move on it as the breakfast places usually have a wait, and if you’re planning on going to Gatlinburg I would suggest reservations .... they booked up very early and because it’s a smaller space than Pigeon Forge it’s hard to get in and out of. Most places had a wait of over an hour to eat. Not great with hungry kids or a husband .... Gatlinburg was literally less them 10-15 min drive time and the neighborhood is very quiet. The view was okay, you could see mountains but you’re within a neighborhood. I would suggest to bring towels for the pool so that you don’t have to spare the only 3 in each bathroom . There aren’t extras of towels. This part was not ideal if you have 12+ in your family/party. The washing machine and dryer on the top floor is great as well, we used it with no problems. The water pressure is decent compared to hotels we have paid big $ to stay at. The water gets Hot! We would definitely come back here!

The cabin itself is amazing and very spacious . The pool and hot tub were like having paradise at our fingertips, loved it. The only complaints I have about the cabin refer to whoever owns it. Number 1 change the mattress in the master it is awful, and use cotton sheets not microfiber. I did not sleep well at all. Please add more towels to the bathroom. Please supply a blow dryer. I travel alot and never have I stayed somewhere that did not offer plenty of towels and a hair dryer. Also I wanted to help with dishes but there was no dish soap or sponges. We had to buy our own, after paying 3k for the cabin that irritated me a little. One last thing if you are renting this cabin you will not regret it as it is amazing from location to home, but beware of the driveway it is steep!!! The last day it rained and there were leaves on the driveway and we slid alot going up, almost did not make it and we were in a F150 . Other than just a few small things we absolutley loved the cabin.

The house is amazing! Great location, close to all major attractions but in a beautiful and quiet setting. The pool area is wonderful. We enjoyed swimming in the heated salt water pool and the hot tub. Lots of appliances in kitchen. The only thing we needed was more towels. Went to local Walmart and purchased some. Overall, a wonderful experience!!!

My friends and I enjoyed staying at this property! The pool and hot tub met our expectations! The beds are very comfortable, we slept in every morning. The kitchen was well equipped except supplies short on forks and pit holders but a quick run to Dollar General fixed that. We left them there for the next family. The only thing we won't miss is the driveway.

Roomy cabin (house) with comfortable beds, a nice pool, and a secluded location that’s just minutes from Gatlinburg and the Smokey Mountain National Park. A few minor gripes — the gas grill ran out of propane in about 30 seconds, and the WiFi only worked intermittently — but the property management team was attentive and responded quickly when we called. Overall, I’d rate the experience as “above average”. Nice place, fair price (considering the size and amenities), and a pleasant stay.
